My Top 5 Drugstore Makeup Finds
I have recently rediscovered my love for makeup and I. Am. Here. For. It.
My husband surprised me with the classic Jaclyn Hill Pallet for Christmas (can you hear the angels singing?) and it's pretty much been non-stop makeup tutorials on YouTube since. Also-because I'm all about honesty here-I've purchased my fair share of makeup since then as well.
SO, because I've been browsing the makeup aisles, reading and/or watching review after review and testing several different products out myself, I decided to make a lineup of my favorite drugstore finds! Here we go.
1. This is probably no surprise to most people but the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind concealer is amazing, guys. Amazing. And as of right now it's on sale on Amazon so I'll link it here. I'm at the stage of life where my under eyes can no longer handle super matte products (hello fine lines) and I'm also just really digging the glowy, natural glam looks. This concealer has a super smooth application thanks to the light creamy texture and fun applicator BUT it also is full coverage so it hides the bags I've acquired since becoming a mom. Win-win!
2. My second drugstore find is also a Maybelline product! It's the Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser Primer and it is the closest dupe I can find to the Benefit Cosmetics Porefessional Primer. It has the same smoothing, pore-be-gone effect but at a fraction of the price. It's also currently on sale on Amazon! I'll link it here.
3. Third is the absolutely gorgeous baked blush from Milani in the shade Luminoso. Here it is from Amazon. It is such a beautiful almost rose gold shade that makes your skin seem like it's glowing from within. It gives such a beautiful sheen that even with a matte finish foundation, you'll have a radiant and healthy glow about you.
4. Next is Neutrogena's Hydro Boost Hydrating Lip Shine in Soft Blush 10. This is such a versatile product, in my opinion. It is essentially a clear gloss (with the slightest nude tint) that nourishes your lips like a balm would. You can wear a thin layer for a casual look or you can really gloss it up if you're going more glam. Since it is so translucent, you can layer it on top of a colored lip as well for an added shine. I've worn this nearly every day since I bought it so I'd say its a keeper. I'll link it here on Amazon.
5. Lastly I'm going to bring up another lip product but this one is very different from the Neutrogena Lip Shine. Another Maybelline product, the SuperStay Ink Crayon, is an essential in my makeup collection. I love this as a product so much I'm not even choosing a color to recommend. The finish is matte and it is long lasting--even through dinner--but does not dry out your lips! I'll say it again, this product will not dry out or crack your lips! It glides on super smooth and lasts all day. It comes in a variety of shades for all skin tones and moods. Here's a link on Amazon (in a color I use often) so you can do yourself a favor and pick one up yourself.
So that's it! Although I did link all these to Amazon for convenience, they can be found in most drugstores. I got mine at my local Walgreen's. I love a good cheap drugstore find and hope this list was helpful if you do too! I may do this again if requested because the world of makeup is always changing and I'm just here trying to keep up.
